Event Date:  1:00pm, 11th October 2023

Location:  Zoom,

Ticket Price: €0

This free online event, focussed on protecting your band name, is in addition to the planned DFC calendar in response to trademark grants of €1000 which are now available from the EU (eligibility criteria apply). We are delighted to have Irish Trademark agent Mary White and Brand Valuation Expert Bryn Anderson to guide us through the topic, and show how to protect your brand name.

Mary White

Mary is an Irish and EU Trade Mark Attorney at world-leading brand advisory firm, Stobbs.

Mary’s career spans leading IP boutique law firms in Dublin and London, and she has also founded two successful businesses, so she understands the challenges of entrepreneurship. She has a special interest in the food and drink sector and particularly in helping high potential start-ups and scaling-up SME companies with their growth strategy.  Mary believes the commercial vision of businesses should set the course of the innovation management and IP strategy, to drive growth and sustained performance.

Bryn Anderson

Bryn is a qualified Chartered Accountant with decades of dedicated business, brand and IP valuation experience, leading client engagements internationally across a range of sectors.  Bryn has completed many technical brand and business valuation projects to comply with international accounting standards, transfer pricing, M&A and litigation support. Bryn frequently contributes to print and broadcast media about brand appraisal, finance, strategy and valuation

“When you establish your business premises, you see the sense in having a lock for the door, to protect all your investment in physical assets from theft or misappropriation (equipment, furniture, inventory etc) and when you establish your business name that you need a ‘lock on the door’ too (to protect the value of the intangible assets, such as knowledge, creative ideas, money spent on marketing and the general blood, sweat and tears it takes to earn a reputation).”
