Bruce Langlands

In what will be the final DFC event of 2021, participants will be joined by a panel of food experts all from within industry who will share their views on the key trends which they believe will affect the food sector most during 2022. The panel will include a cross sector representation of some of Irelands foremost food stakeholders.

Bruce Langlands, Guest Contributor
Bruce has had a career of over thirty years in retail and hospitality industry. He commenced his career in M&S where he progressed through store management running stores in London, Greece and running the food business in Southern Ireland before joining Head Office and becoming product developer within Food Group. In 2006 he joined Superquinn as Head of Product Development establishing the NPD team and launching many award winning products notably the “SQ Superior Quality” and the “Superquinn essentials” brands. In 2010 he returned to London as the Director of foods and hospitality at Harrods prior to moving to be the Executive Director of Food and Hospitality at Selfridges. Since 2019 Bruce has been consulting on food retail and hospitality and is currently working for Robuchon International advising them and developing their global strategy. In 2019 Bruce along with nineteen other industry experts was awarded the honour of being made a Food Icon from Speciality food. He is also currently the Ambassador for the Scottish Food and Drink Retail Awards.
